HERO Origen Token(HERO), the cryptocurrency for the blockchain-based financial service platform HERO Capital Market Platform(HCMP), has started its main sale today (UK 12pm), as planned.
Cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum (ETH) and, Bitcoin (BTC), and, the hard-cap for its ICO is 250,000 (ETH), according to its website.
While the world’s fastest growing internet region Southeast Asia would have over 480 million internet users by 2020, only 27% of the people(more than 600 million) in the region, currently has a bank account, according to its whitepaper. So, HCMP, operated by the Philippine-based online pawnshopt operator PawnHero Pawnshop Philippines (PawnHero) backed by Alibaba and SoftBank, aims at facilitating the participation of borrowers, lenders, payment providers, and others to promote the financial transparency and efficiency in Southeast Asian capital markets, via using the blockchain and smart contract technology.
The former Managing Director of Goldman Sachs Norbert Gehrke joined to its project advisory team, according to the recent media reports. Gehrke is also the founder of Tokyo FinTech Meetup, a community over 900 individuals.
Maurizio Raffone, who was a former MD at UniCredit Bank, also joined to the advisory team.
The proceeds by ICO would be partly used for promotion and the operation of its platform, via the Foundation once established in Switzerland.
