Korea Blockchain Summit(KBS) 2018, organised by Global Blockchain Foundation (GBF) , was taken place at Grand Intercontinental Seoul on July 12-13, according to GBF official site.
KBS 2018 had various programs such as panel discussion, hackathon, presentation, and networking party, with a main topic on challenging issues in blockchain and crypto-economy.
The number of attendees had around 1000 with 30 speakers, including KCX Exchange CIO  Jason H.Jang, SingularDTV Asia SingularDTV CMO Jack Cheng among others during the event.         
Jang made a speech with its title on Utilization of Digital Asset in Everyday : a Hype or a Hope. Cryptocurrency would still make an effort to have a customer friendly usability further to secure a popularity, he said during his speech.
Headquartered in Taiwan, COBINHOOD is a cryptocurrency service platform for the blockchain era which operating a zero-trading-fee exchange and ICO service. The founder of COBINHOOD – Popo Chen delivered a presentation titled as The Next Generation Blockchain Technology. The solution for scalability and security would be a key for the next generation technology in the blockchain industry, he said, while explaining COBINHOOD’s partner Dexon’s technology.
A various types of tokens are trading on Cobinhood Exchange such as PlayCoin(PLY).
GBF is an international non-profit social enterprise to build a sustainable blockchain community through cooperation, with its initiatives including entrepreneurial and academic  supports, along with organising blockchain events.
GBF’s upcoming events will include Russia Blockchain Summit (August 23-24), ASEAN Blockchain Summit 2018 (Sep 3-4, Malaysia), and World Blockchain Summit 2018(Oct 1-5, India).
When asked on the possibility of organzing larger blockchain event in Seoul again or near locations, GBF’s Co-Founder Praneet Kumar said that it could be a likely scenario, given the positive feedback on KBS 2018.
