SBI Group : Buying Minority Stake in US-based AI Trading System Company  -UPDATE

SBI Holdings’ subsidiary SBI Crypto Investment acquired around 15% stake in the Massachusetts-based AI trading system provider Potamus Holdings(Potamus) as a way to expand the digital asset(crypto) business, according to the announcements.   
The deal value has not been disclosed.            
As a dealer/broker licensed by SEC, Potamus’ subsidiary Potamus Trading has business operations in US-based Exchanges such as NYSE and NASDAQ, and provides the trading algorithm to its users.
Potamus Trading would tap into expanding new coverage other than existing equity products via using its market-maker trading technology.
Meanwhile, SBI Holdings also acquired stakes in Malaysia-based financial trading system developer N2N Connect Berhad(N2N) as a way to expand the digital asset business, according to the separate announcement.
SBI Group would expand its digital asset business via further having various partnership in this space.
SBI Holdings has a market cap of about JPY650bn(USD 6bn).
