Financial services conglomerates such as Nomura Holdings(Nomura) and JPMorgan Chase already started feasible studies, along with a joint research and development, on custody services for digital assets and cryptocurrencies, according to Japan’s blockchain media CoinPost.

Having a partnership with cryptocurrency wallet developer Ledger and financial investment company Global Advisors,a parent company of CoinShares, to build a secured digital asset custody service and solution.
The new alliance has been named as Komainu Project.
- JPMorgan Chase, Bank of New York Mellon, and Northern Trust:
Major US-based financial service conglomerates, with an established brand in traditional custody business, are also reported to have a strong interest in custody service in cryptocurrency markets.
Custody Service business would expect to bring around USD 20bn of cryptocurrencies in future, according to the report by CoinPost.
