NEO is set to enter the Japanese blockchain market after forming a partnership with gumi Cryptos, the blockchain-focused subsidiary of mobile game developer and publisher gumi.
As part of the collaboration, the two entities will introduce advancements in technology and various applications to boost the Japanese blockchain market, NEO said on its website.
Gumi Cryptos will also aid NEO in implementing different marketing approaches to stimulate progress in the Japanese blockchain market as part of a broader effort to realize the next generation internet.
“As a key blockchain infrastructure, NEO is partnering with gumi to leverage the latter’s leading edge in the gaming sector to move towards a more diverse and optimized Internet era,” said NEO founder Da Hongfei.
He added that advancement of next-gen internet will also drive progress of new apps, including those under the gaming sector.
Gumi Cryptos was founded in May as a way for gumi to invest in blockchain and cryptocurrency companies worldwide.
Gumi now has a total of three ventures: Gumi Ventures, which focuses on mobile entertainment companies, Venture Reality Fund, which seeks to invest in early-stage virtual, augmented, and mixed reality startups, and Gumi Cryptos.
