Wowoo Exchange Hong Kong has rescheduled the launch of its WWX trading services on its exchange on Jan. 15, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. HKT to manage technical difficulties.
According to the announcement, a simulated influx of traffic to Wowoo Exchange Hong Kong’s servers and the sudden increase of the platform’s users anticipating the WWX listing caused the delay.
The exchange noted that its team was able to detect and block all traffic going in and out of the servers before the malicious attempt of distributed denial of service or DDoS could cause harm.
Wowoo Exchange Hong Kong will stall the offering of trading services for the WWX token but will resume those for other token pairs during the technical maintenance.
The exchange originally planned to enable trading for WWX/BTC and WWX/USDT on Dec. 28.
