by Monica Padillo

Animoca Brands subsidiary Stryking Entertainment has concluded its holiday auction for FC Bayern Munich non-fungible token playable cards with over 552 ETH or nearly $80,000 in sales.

According to the announcement, the best selling items during the sale were two ultra rare Full Team bundles: the Christmas 2019 edition, which was sold for 133 ETH, and New Year 2020 edition, which was sold for 122 ETH.

Each bundle consisted of 24 player cards of all the 2019/20 season FC Bayern Munich players.

Other card bundles such as the Robert Lewandowski 1st Print and Christmas Edition bundles, Manuel Neuer Christmas Edition cards, Thomas Müller Christmas Edition cards, and Robert Lewandowski 1st Print cards were resold on OpenSea after the holiday auction.

Stryking plans to put up cards of lower rarity tier for auction in the future.

The digital collectibles can be used in the Fantasy Sports challenge system that Stryking developed for Football Stars.

The distribution of non-fungible token cards based on actual FC Bayern Munich players is part of Stryking’s partnership with FC Bayern Munich that was formed in October 2019.

Players can use the NFT playable cards to create virtual line-ups and compete in challenges against other players.
