Samsung Electronics has announced that its blockchain-equipped smartphones such as the Galaxy S10 will begin supporting Elrond’s Battle of Elrond mobile multiplayer game in the first quarter of 2020.
According to a report by The Block, Battle of Elrond will be made available through the Samsung Galaxy Store. The integration of the game onto Samsung smartphones that have blockchain capabilities is part of Samsung and Elrond’s partnership, which was formed in November 2019.
Elrond CEO Beniamin Mincu explained that players of Battle of Elrond, which will not be a DApp but a mobile app with blockchain elements, can earn ERD tokens for defeating their enemies in the game.
The ERD token is also integrated in the Samsung Blockchain Wallet.
Mincu added Elrond will prioritize the porting of Battle of Elrond’s blockchain mechanics to the company’s mainnet, which will be launched over three phases through 2020.
