The Hong Kong-based DApp platform said in its 2019 H1 DApp market report that Ethereum took the second spot with 361 new DApps, then followed by EOS with 310 DApps and IOST with 29 DApps.
There are now a total of 2,946 DApps on all four blockchain platforms: 1,842 DApps on ETH, 574 on EOS, 501 on TRON, and 29 IOST.
About 606 active DApps from January to June 2019 are casino DApps, making it the top category among other classifications of decentralized applications.
The growth of TRON and EOS has been apparent from January to June as they also took the lead in terms of number of active users and transaction volume.
TRON had approximately 710,700 users, while EOS had 520,900 users, Ethereum 465,100 users, and IOST 27,000 users.
ETH, TRON, and EOS saw a peak in the number of their active users around April to mid-May.
DAppReview explained that the number of active users was linked to the mainnet launch of the blockchain platforms.
Meanwhile, the transaction volume of the four public chains reached $11.1 billion, which is a more than 50 percent increase from the $5 billion transaction volume recorded in 2018.
EOS contributed largely to the transaction volume for DApps with $5.6 billion. TRON followed suit with $3.6 billion, Ethereum with $1.5 billion, then IOST with $458 million.
